We are told what will come our way, the things the person will do for us, and what’s in store in the future. Whether it’s a romantic relationship, friendship, parent, or professional relationship, we may be being promised what will happen but these promises will never come to fruition. We don’t realize the other person is exploiting our hopes and desires, they know what we want and they are manipulating us. We aren’t aware of the other person’s narcissistic tendencies to manipulate to get what they want in the moment.
In the moment you find yourself sacrificing, it may be challenging however you write it off because you keep looking to the future in good faith.
